Thank You, MOMS Foundation!
Youth Emergency Services (YES) is proud to announce that our organization has been selected as a recipient of the Metro Omaha Medical Society (MOMS) Foundation matching grant! Thanks to their incredible support, YES will receive over $16,000 to strengthen our mental health program.
With this generous amount of funding from MOMS, YES will be able to enhance mental health services for the approximately 70 youth who are admitted into our housing programs each year. Specifically, YES will be able to fund five mental health sessions for each youth admitted, which will include diagnostic assessments and up to four individual or family therapy sessions across our Emergency Shelter, Transitional Living Program, and Maternity Group Home. Additionally, with these funds, YES will be able to purchase essential mental health assessments—including the Ages and Stages for developmental milestones and the Beck Depression Inventory—to ensure comprehensive screening. Plus, YES can invest in Youth Mental Health First Aid training to equip our staff with the skills to support our youth effectively. With support from the MOMS Foundation, YES can promote mental well-being and prevent the cycle of chronic homelessness among the vulnerable youth we serve.
We are deeply grateful to the MOMS Foundation for championing connection and trauma-informed care among our youth—values we hold close to the YES mission. Thank you, MOMS Foundation, for helping us make a difference!
