Pregnancy and parenting classes
Admission Criteria
Participants must be 16 to 21 years of age. If younger than 19, participant must either be legally emancipated or provide parental/guardian consent.
Participants must be homeless. By this definition, homeless means living on the streets, in a shelter, in a transitional housing program, couch surfing or being evicted from their current living situation.
This program requires active participation in the program, including utilizing case management and support services. Participants must be willing to work or attend school and participate in community service.
Program Fees
Participants in the program are required to pay monthly rental fees. However, the first two months are covered by YES and are free of charge. The rental fee increases gradually each month until the participant can pay the full rental amount for three consecutive months. Once this condition is met, the participant is eligible for graduation from the program. When a participant leaves the program, they will receive 80 percent of the total rents paid, minus any charges for damages.
