A Gift Worth Celebrating

Thanksgiving may be over, but there is still much to be grateful for—and to celebrate—with these gifts from the Evans Family!

Five years ago Jeff and Laura Evans prepared to welcome twin boys into the world. But tragedy struck and their sons passed soon after birth. Now, to celebrate what would have been Everett’s and Jude’s fifth birthday, the couple put together several dozen birthday kits to donate to Youth Emergency Services’ Street Outreach Center. Each kit holds a box of cake mix, a can of frosting, a baking pan, and more to ensure its recipient is given the best birthday possible, no matter life’s circumstances.

“We would love to be throwing a birthday party for our boys this year,” the Evans said. “But we love the thought of any kid getting to celebrate their birthday and being as happy as they would be now!”
