Support Our Youth and Young Adults
We envision a community which understands and embraces its youth and young adults so they can thrive in their power and independence.
YES and the youth we serve appreciate your support in helping us create an environment where youth homelessness no longer exists.
There are many ways for you to get involved in helping us turn young lives around.
Donate
Making a financial donation is the easiest way to support YES and our mission of providing youth and young adults with safe and stable housing, essential needs, and programs that prepare them for self-sufficiency.
If you are able, please consider making a donation to YES.
Donate Items
YES accepts in-kind donations of high demand items that youth and young adults need for every day use.
We accept the following items:
New, in-package and/or clean, gently-used clothing. Please only donate new, in-package undergarments.
Home goods
Current season clothing items, as we have limited storage space
Personal or self-care products for all skin and hair types
Feminine products and diapers
Cleaning supplies
Prepackaged food, snacks, and drinks (bottled water and Gatorade in summer months)
Bus passes

Clothing and household items can be donated to Tip Top Thrift Shop in Benson, which donates proceeds back to YES.
Donate Meals
Our Street Outreach Center is consistently in need of frozen and prepared meals to feed youth and young adults experiencing housing insecurity in the Omaha community.
A meal should be enough to feed 15-20 people.
The safety of those we serve is our top priority, so we ask that safety standards of proper hand washing, glove usage, proper food handling, and storage are followed.
Click here to sign up to provide a meal or make a gift via our Donate page.
If you are unable to donate prepared food, you can also Donate to our meals fund, which provides hot meals and nonperishable food items for our guests.
Volunteer
Support from our volunteers is essential in creating and amplifying partnerships, resources and meaningful results that address the immediate and long-term needs of youth and young adults so they can establish stability.
You make an impact in our collective response to youth homelessness that creates a safe space where youth and young adults become self-reliant.
Our biggest need at this time is help with meal preparation and donations. Please contact us here with questions about volunteer opportunities.
Student Internships and Practicums and Service Learning
If you are a student needing an internship or practicum to complete your educational requirements and have a strong desire to serve, we may have an opportunity for you. To view current internship and practicum openings, please visit YES on Indeed.com.
YES also welcomes students required to complete service-learning hours through projects such as organizing a fundraiser, providing a meal, making/donating fleece blankets or organizing other benefits.

Participate in YES Events
YES hosts two events annually that support our programs:
When you support our annual events, we are able to offer vital programming to homeless or near homeless youth and young adults. This programming is designed to equip them with the skills and resources necessary to become self-sufficient and thrive in their communities. Your contribution can make a significant difference in the lives of these individuals, helping them build a brighter future for themselves and those around them.
